YouTube Video to Script Extractor

The YouTube Video to Script Extractor lets you turn any supported YouTube video into a clean, readable text script directly in your browser. Just paste a video link, and the tool attempts to fetch the transcript, display it on the page, and let you download it as a text file for notes, content repurposing, or study.YouTube Video to Script Extractor

Key Features

  • Paste a YouTube video URL and extract its transcript (when available)

  • Shows the full script in a scrollable preview box

  • Allows you to download the script as a .txt file

  • Simple paste → extract → download workflow

  • No registration or software installation required

  • Clear status messages, animated progress bar, and black success checkmark

  • 5-second minimum “processing” time for a smoother experience

  • 10-second download countdown with a visual loading bar

How to Use

  1. Paste the YouTube Link
Copy the URL of the YouTube video and paste it into the input field.

  2. Extract the Script
Click “Extract Script”. The tool analyses the video ID, attempts to fetch the transcript, and processes the segments into a continuous script.

  3. Review the Transcript
Once extraction is complete, the full script appears in the preview box below. Scroll through to review or copy any part you need.

  4. Download as a Text File
Click “Download Script (.txt)”. A 10-second animated countdown runs with the loading bar, and then a plain text file containing the transcript is automatically downloaded.

Benefits

  • Perfect for content creators
Turn your YouTube videos into scripts for blog posts, captions, repurposed content, or subtitles.

  • Helpful for students and researchers
Save video lectures and talks as text so you can search, highlight, and annotate the content easily.

  • Great for accessibility and note-taking
Use scripts for people who prefer reading or need text versions of spoken content.

  • Browser-based convenience
Everything runs on the front end—no need to install apps or create an account.

(Note: Transcripts can only be extracted for videos that actually have transcripts available and when the external transcript service is accessible.)
